ECPAT Sweden launched a web-based hotline, www.ecpathotline.se, in March 2005 where members of the public can anonymously report suspected sexual exploitation and abuse of children. Reports sent to the ECPAT Hotline are sorted, reviewed and actioned upon. The report can be forwarded to the Swedish National Police (NOA) or INHOPE, and ECPAT may contact the hosting provider to remove child sexual abuse material. Reports should preferably be sent directly to the police. The ECPAT Hotline is an alternative way of submitting a report. The police should always be contacted about urgent matters.
